You are no longer a greenhorn, have already had experience with the jazz genre (standards), can use different means of phrasing and sing simple variations of the melody. You have sung with a band or have been in “Hellazz” before. Now you want to become even more relaxed in your interaction with the band.
Great; because in our Singer’s Advanced Week you will develop further in terms of your interpretation of a song and become more and more confident on stage and in communicating with the instrumentalists.
How do I use my voice instrument appropriately?
What stylistic devices are there and how can I use them in my interpretation?
Let’s talk about Jazz. What does the band need from me, and how do I convey what I want to the instrumentalists?
6 class days, 1 afternoon off, approximately 30 hrs plus the sessions in the evening.
Lessons are given in small groups, in the morning with vocal coach in the masterclass principle, in the afternoon with coach and band.
During the evening jam sessions you can try out new things and get more and more routine with the band.
At the halfway point of the workshop, there will be general classes for everyone in the morning. It can be about vocal techniques, rhythm and style, improvisation or ensemble. That afternoon, everyone will be off.
At the end of each week we give a final concert in a nice tavern, music club or café, where each participant has the opportunity to perform a song.
Choose two songs , to work on. You should prepare these pieces well, i.e. master the melody and lyrics. Please send us your leadsheets by July 1st, 2023 at the latest.
After your registration you will receive your personal login data* by mail. This will take you to the members area where your course will be activated (after payment). Only those who participate in the course together with you will have access there.

*If you have already taken one of our courses in Berlin from March 2021 or bought the “10 golden rules for a successful session”, you have already received your login data at that time.
