You are no longer a greenhorn, have already had experience with the jazz genre (standards), can use different means of phrasing and sing simple variations of the melody. You have sung with a band or have been in “Hellazz” before. Now you want to become even more relaxed in your interaction with the band.<\/span>
Great; because in our Singer’s Advanced Week you will develop further in terms of your interpretation of a song and become more and more confident on stage and in communicating with the instrumentalists.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Let\u2019s talk about Jazz.\u00a0 What does the band need from me, and how do I convey what I want to the instrumentalists?<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    What’s the framework:<\/span><\/h2>\n

      6 class days, 1 afternoon off, approximately 30 hrs plus the sessions in the evening.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Lessons are given in small groups, in the morning with vocal coach in the masterclass principle, in the afternoon with coach and band.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      During the evening jam sessions you can try out new things and get more and more routine with the band.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      At the halfway point of the workshop, there will be general classes for everyone in the morning. It can be about vocal techniques,\u00a0 rhythm and style, improvisation or ensemble. That afternoon, everyone will be off.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      At the end of each week we give a final concert in a nice tavern, music club or caf\u00e9, where each participant has the opportunity to perform a song.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      What you need to prepare:<\/span><\/h2>\n

      Choose\u00a0two songs<\/strong>\u00a0, to work on. You should prepare these pieces well, i.e. master the melody and lyrics.\u00a0Please send us your leadsheets by July 1st, 2025 at the latest.<\/strong><\/p>\n
